You have a marvelous sense of humor and this post was really fun to read. Have a great day. Jamie says the cold water/stock supposed to bring them to sleep and they won't know when the temperature rises. I take Jamie's word. I don't know if this is true; the crabs must know.

Annalisa, many thanks to your support! It was truly unforgettable. Never thought I'd yell to crabs before, but it happened.
I'll definitely need the luck. Lobster is coming soon. :(Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12163446958249760582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3296694970544617459.post-65571908359579810942010-04-19T14:41:41.918+01:002010-04-19T14:41:41.918+01:00Congratulations from me too!

You know many cooking posts ( including mine!!!) are just SO boring sometimes..This one really made me smile when reading, it was really interesting!
And it reminds me of when I had to deal with live crabs- was much younger, and feeling a little bit clumsy in kitchen then!
:D Good luck for the next culinary challenge then!
AnnalisaAnnalisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15911977579672588065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3296694970544617459.post-82728987899136064302010-04-19T00:01:29.597+01:002010-04-19T00:01:29.597+01:00Congratulations! I think the Australian way is to put them in the fridge or freezer first, just long enough so they don't move plus they say it is more humane (but I am not sure - not being a crab person!)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09337016058758202863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3296694970544617459.post-58334810627382054322010-04-18T21:49:43.182+01:002010-04-18T21:49:43.182+01:00I wasn't late for this one! why didn't you...I wasn't late for this one! why didn't you tell anyone?
