3. Sticky fingers lobster

After the semi-traumatic 'preparing live lobster' experience over the weekend, I decided to let my fishmonger prepared the lobster for me this time. I'm glad to have experienced it once, but I think once is enough...

sticky fingers lobster in my opinion is the best lobster dish I had, ever. It was oh-so-delicious! or in Jamie's words, "damn tasty!" There is a South-East Asian feel into the dish which I love.

The lobster was cooked in a sticky marinade made with garlic, ginger, spring onions, lemon juice, honey, olive oil and lots of black peppercorns. Serve on a big bowl and sprinkle with more chopped spring onions, finely sliced fresh red chilli and fresh coriander leaves.

You get a nice warm heat from the black peppercorns, the sweetness from the honey and the aromatic ginger and garlic which pretty much unbeatable. YUM!! (and the bonus this time is, there was no guilt whatsoever).

This is the kind of dish best eaten with your hand. It's messy, but more enjoyable that way, like eating ribs.

2 more recipes to go.....

Have a great one.

  1. Your description of the lobster dish sounds phenomenal! Love lobster and made the mistake of ordering live lobsters twice from Maine to Washington state. The lobsters were 3 1/2 pounds each and looked more like pets. I actually cried the second time and swore that was it. Someone else could partially steam the critters first. I think you did great!
